The Paperboard Packaging Community is planning a meeting Oct 1,2, 2013. The meeting will start at 2:00 pm on Tuesday Oct 1 with a tour of Strathcona Paper, Napanee, ON. A group dinner will be held that evening in Belleville, ON. On Wednesday Oct 2 the day will start with a brief business meeting and technical presentations that will be held at Sonoco, Trenton, ON. In the afternoon a tour of the Sonoco mill will be held.

''MECHANICAL PULPING: FINDING THE ONE STOP SHOP''
Shortly following the Mechanical Pulping Community meeting on June 12 during the PACWEST Conference, Dr. Zhirun Yuan from FPInnovations and current chair of the MPC describes how the work of this PAPTAC community fits in the PACWEST Conference.
Dr. Zhirun Yuan explains that some ripple down effects of a “disruptive decade” for the industry includes the fact that the community has been relatively quiet in the last two years.

The Fall meeting of the Bleaching Community, hosted by Cariboo Pulp & Paper in Quesnel BC., will be held October 21-23, 2013.
The Monday morning technical session theme will be "Optimization and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)". If you have a presentation to volunteer, please contact Alison Rowat, our Technical sub-committee chair, at [email protected]
Remember that presentations do not have to be long, or formal -- a few slides taking 5-10 minutes can lead to some great discussions!
